When selecting plastic products such as bathtubs, buckets, potty chairs, and dippers for your baby, it is important to consider the following points to ensure your baby’s health and safety.
1- Make Sure the Product Is Made from Virgin Raw Materials
Plastic products can also be manufactured by melting and reusing scrap plastics instead of virgin raw materials. Products made from scrap plastics may contain carcinogenic, toxic substances and/or azo dyes, which pose serious risks to your baby’s health.
Sevi Bebe uses virgin raw materials with a known origin that have passed international testing standards in all of its products. In addition, Sevi Bebe products are tested at regular intervals by certified independent international inspection centers.
2- How Can You Tell If Scrap Materials Are Used?
If you see different color reflections when holding a plastic product up to light or sunlight, scrap plastic may have been used. If no light passes through the product, opaque paint may have been applied to conceal the colors of scrap plastic.
For a safer choice for your baby, it is recommended to prefer transparent or semi-transparent plastic products.
3- Choose Smooth Plastic Products
For your baby’s sensitive skin, plastic products with smooth surfaces should be preferred. Over time, microscopic pores may form on the surface, which can trap dirt and bacteria. Additionally, burrs that may develop on the surface can irritate or harm your baby’s skin. For safer and healthier use, choosing products made of high-quality materials with smooth surfaces is essential.
4- Do Not Choose Untested Products
For your baby’s health, make sure that the plastic products you use have been tested by independent international testing organizations. Checking the test report and report number is important to ensure safe and healthy use.
